‘First the Minters partners decided to make firm drinks a ‘beer, wine and champagne only’ affair, taking the popular spirits off the menu. Then they made firm drinks fortnightly, instead of weekly. Then they pushed it out to a once-a-month affair. Cut back after cut back!
Now, however, I fear that they have now intruded into unchartered territory which may signal the death knell of alcohol consumption at the firm… the beer ran out 1.5 hours into our practice group christmas party. Not a jolly gesture!’
