Sex for Marks; Claims University Law Professor Accepted Bribes for Grades

The integrity of Australia’s university education system has been buffeted in recent weeks by claims that foreign students simply aren’t getting what they pay for. Things look set to worsen with fresh claims emerging that a Victoria University law lecturer swapped sex for marks.

As reported by The Australian:

Victoria University has been rocked by allegations that a law lecturer solicited and received bribes in the form of sexual favours and money from some female Asian international students, offering in return to improve thair marks.

Very regrettably, the Victoria University law lecturer at the center of the allegations has since taken his own life. These claims cap off a turbulent period for Victoria University after several university directors were charged last year over an elaborate scheme in which they defrauded the university.
