Firm Profile – Minter Ellison

What they say

With our impressive track record of growth, recognition in the market that we are a firm of choice in our region, our significant client base and our role in advising on many major transactions, Minter Ellison offers exciting career opportunities for qualified lawyers, senior associates and partners.

Our clients look to us for more than just pure legal advice – they want our knowledge and understanding of what is happening in local markets. This knowledge, our obsession about quality and our drive to help clients achieve their commercial aims has led to Minter Ellison’s involvement in some of the Asia Pacific’s biggest deals.

We are always looking for exceptional talent and can offer you the opportunity to be challenged and motivated by the people you work with, the clients you work for and the work you undertake.

What we say

Just lost 80% of its Perth-based partners to Squire Sanders and is suffering significant market credibility issues after the revelation the its Adelaide CFO is alleged to have misappropriated millions of partnership dollars. Minters is in bad shape right now if you look at it as a single firm, but the reality is that its a patchwork of individual offices operating in isolation, or a “federated” law firm where profits are split locally rather than shared in a national pool. The result is a firm that probably doesn’t deserve the top-tier branding it covets, but a solid employer nonetheless. Generally speaking, Minters has great empoyees, is a fun place to work, but all juniors feel incredibly short-changed every year in salary-review season.
