A Deloitte worker laughs at the double digits
scapegoat for firm redundancies which are in truth attributable to partner greed.

Today, we are directing such scrutiny at Deloitte. Although the firm is yet to confirm the rumours we have reported about secret sackings, Deloitte has painstakingly spelled out the recent successes of the firm. An article accompanied by a disagreeably garish image of chief Giam Swiegers in the current BRW notes the following:

Deloitte is putting its faith in its agility… Economic turbulence drives opportunities and the firm was an early mover. Deloitte chief Giam Swiegers says a paper produced early last year on the levers that could help companies better manage in volatile times, opened up new conversations with clients. The new business flowed. So much so that Deloitte has experienced double-digit growth in the past 10 months. “We don’t mind facing up to a crisis”… Since 2003…Deloitte has become the fastest growing accounting firm among the Big Four.

Does this sound like the kind of firm that needs to sack workers? Are the rumoured sackings just an ‘agile’ from the Deloitte partnership?
