Manhunt Update: Swindling Ex-Minters CFO Arrested at Sydney Airport

We just received word from an anonymous tipster that wanted fugitive Craig Raneberg has been arrested at Sydney Airport.  Here’s the tip:

Craig Raneberg (ex-CFO Minter Ellison Adelaide) was caught by Police re-entering Australia at Sydney Airport over the weekend. It appears as though his Thai VISA needed renewing.

We haven’t been able to confirm the report, but, if true it looks like this is the end of the road for the man who allegedly siphoned off hundreds of thousands of dollars (the exact amount is unclear: some reports say millions) from the firm over a period of several years.

Of course, his questionable decision to renew his Thai Visa in Australia may seem slightly less surprising when it is remembered that this is the same guy who simply deposited the firm’s money directly into his own bank account, dollar for dollar.  Sounds like a master criminal at work.
