With a face and body fit for radio, the Firm Spy could never quite work out what budding young starlet Tamara Jaber saw in Kyle Sandilands. The radio shock-jock has offended legions of listeners over the years, and yet Tamara stood by her man for nine years, even as sponsors and employers abandoned him.
She was there even as Sandilands took centre stage in that infamous radio stunt gone wrong. According to SMH:
Kyle and Jackie O’s Lie Detector segment turned to disaster today when a 14-year-old girl – dragged on the 2Day FM radio show by her mother – angrily revealed she had been raped. The girl, who had been brought on to undergo a lie detector test about her mother’s concerns about her drug and sex experience, told Kyle Sandilands before the questions started: “I’m scared … it’s not fair.” The mother told the presenters she was worried about her daughter’s use of drugs and partying, before going on to ask the teenager if she ever skipped school. The mother then asked her daughter: “Have you ever had sex?” The 14-year-old replied: “I’ve already told you the story about this … and don’t look at me and smile because it’s not funny.” After a pause she then raised her voice and said: “Oh OK … I got raped when I was 12 years old.”
You’ll recall Sandilands then hesitated before asking:
“Right … is that the only experience you’ve had?”
Right there with Sandilands through what would become a very forgettable experience of his own was his adoring wife Tamara. But not any more. Sandilands spoke with the Daily Telegraph of his divorce:
“It was one of those sad things that just dribbled off.”
The Daily Telegraph continued:
Sandilands dismisses speculation he is romancing other women. He says nothing could be further from his mind. “I couldn’t think of anything worse than being on the dating scene,” he says. “I haven’t got the physique for it. I’d be pulling from the back of the club where all the lonely girls are.
But while Sandilands is pondering his fat-addled relaunch into the dating scene, it has been reported that his ex-wife Tamara Jaber is getting busy with former Minter Ellison lawyer Dan Bennett. According to a recent report from the Daily Telegraph:
Tamara Jaber is back in the dating game after separating from 2DayFM radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands. Jaber was spotted having drinks at Bondi Beach with Sydney solicitor Dan Bennett. The legal eagle told Woman’s Day that they had some drinks, but he wasn’t sure if there would be a second date. “We are good friends who met up and had a laugh and a few beers. It was nice and I like Tamara. She’s really very sweet,” he said. At 28, the Scarlet Belle singer’s newly single lady move comes as her 21-month marriage to Sandilands broke down after their careers took them further apart.

Just two months after announcing her separation from Kyle Sandilands, Tamara Jaber looks to have moved on – stepping out with a hot new man last week. In a move that is sure to devastate ex-hubby Kyle, a svelte looking Tamara was spotted with lawyer Dan Bennett at Bondi Beach last week, with the two seen kissing and looking cosy at Bondi hotspot Ravesi’s. ‘It was just two people meeting up for a drink,’ a source close to Dan said.
We did a bit of googling on Dan Bennett and landed on his linked-in profile. It lists Minter Ellison as his former employer from 2002-2007. Perhaps Mr Bennett should give some dating tips to his former colleague Melissa Hammett – the lawyer who famously bemoaned the state of online dating late last year.
