Clayton Utz Confident; Clutz to Thrive as Competitors Stumble

Like the Freehills partnership, comments from Clutz Chief Executive David Fagan suggest that Clayton Utz views the GFC

A Clutz lawyer has turned to swinging to celebrate his firms recent good fortune
as posing no major threat to the firm, its workflows or future staff employment.

In confirming that the firm’s litigation, government and major projects practices remain healthy and that they would be further buttressed by imminent governmental infrastructure investment, Fagan has no doubt buoyed staff confidence which has been suffocated by relentless redundancies elsewhere. Fagan noted:

‘It is a very unique environment but even out of periods of difficulty, opportunities arise and you have to be out there, nimble, looking for these opportunities.’
