Re Michael Mitchell The smh reported today that “…Mr Mitchell claimed the treatment he experienced was the ”product of a ‘culture of harassment’ that existed in his work group.Staff were ”encouraged to employ humour, often inappropriate and sexual in nature, and that this humour was condoned by management.”Readers of the AFR might query whether this humour “often inappropriate and sexual in nature” was confined to Michael’s group (known as SCUM???). A few months after Michael was fired from CU‘s Sydney office in 2007 the AFR published the following article in Hearsay: which discusses the Facebook group “…the Clayton Utz. Dirty Blvd group “Clayton Utz. Workplace Relations (Sydney). Whorebags.”
Does your firm have a facebook group? How about a “culture of harassment”? Is your Workplace Relations group full of “whorebags”?
