Separate reports coming into us here The Firm Spy indicate that the Melbourne offices of Clayton Utz and top-tier heavyweight Allens Arthur Robinson have both terminated their tea-ladies.
The humble tea-lady, gone!
Alternate Firm Spies from both firms have confirmed the tea-lady termination. Although we have received no official comment from the firms, we are informed that at AAR, the GFC has precipitate widespread cutbacks, with an emphasis on tightening expenditure with an effort to ‘cut the non-fee earners…the fat of the firm.’
Increasingly, it seems, no one is safe in any Australian law firm.
